Spearheaded by seasoned netball coaching instructor and SA Men’s national team assistant coach, Francois Nel, the opening day of the course focused on the latest trends in Netball coaching, with an even stronger focus on the characteristics required in the modern day coach, which include integrity, passion and accountability.

Commenting on the enthusiasm displayed by the coaches on the opening day, NSA Coaching Instructor, Nel said that he was encouraged by the eagerness displayed by the coaches in grasping the content, saying that it augured well for the future of the sport.

“A lot of coaches tend to struggle grasping the content on the opening day but it was so encouraging to witness so much enthusiasm and engagement throughout the day. We continue seeing growth in the sport of netball in our communities and having such a vibrant group of coaches can only indicate a bright future for the sport,” said Nel.
