#BetwayCares Skills Hub Coaching Programme heads to Gqeberha

Aspiring football coaches under the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay region are next in line to benefit from Super Group-owned Betway’s upcoming #BetwayCares Skills Hub.

The leading global online and gaming brand, under its ongoing #BetwayCares community upliftment programme is working tirelessly around the clock to stage yet another impactful workshop to upskill aspiring coaches, as part of its commitment to aiding community sport development.

This time working closely with the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay region, the #BetwayCares Skills Hub will be in the form of a SAFA D License Coaching course, set to run between 20 – 29 April at the Gelvandale fields in Gqeberha.

Commenting ahead of the 8-day workshop which will be attended by 30 coaches, equally divided between male and female, Betway South Africa’s Marketing Manager, David Rachidi said the brand’s passion towards aiding the development of community sport remains front and centre of how it has positioned itself in South African communities.

“The #BetwayCares Skills Hub continues to grow into being one of the most sought-after community sport training and development initiatives based on the high volumes of requests we have received across the country. Such requests demonstrate the dire need for the upskilling of coaches, referees and administrators in our communities and as a caring brand, we take pride in spearheading such programmes that directly impact the growth of sport,” said Rachidi.

With the #BetwayCares Skills Hub continuing to grow, the brand is also proud to be introducing a new element of inviting highly experienced industry experts to the various programmes, to further equip the participants with relevant industry knowledge that can be implemented in their current roles.

“In addition to being a caring brand, we are also quite innovative in how we equip and empower our communities. We have recently experimented with ideas of inviting industry experts to share their everyday experiences working in the fields of coaching, refereeing and sports nutrition. This has taken the programme to even greater heights, as participants are exposed to the highest and most practical experience of the game” concluded Rachidi.
